Locum - Physician Assistant (PA) - Urgent Care Lynchburg, VA

As a Locum Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality episodic care to diverse patient populations, including adolescents, children, adults, and geriatrics. This position offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced clinical environment.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing injury treatment and episodic care in an outpatient setting, utilizing Anthem EMR documentation system. The supervising physician will be available via phone, ensuring support and collaboration while allowing for autonomous practice. The facility will reimburse mileage at the IRS Standard Rate for local providers and covers costs related to travel when applicable.

Required Skills:

• Active Physician Assistant license in Virginia or eligible to practice in VA
• Proven experience in Urgent Care and Occupational Health settings
• Ability to handle episodic care and injury treatment independently
• Excellent clinical judgment and patient communication skills
• Proficient in using EMR systems, specifically Anthem

Nice to Have Skills:

• Bilingual abilities
• Previous experience in a similar fast-paced outpatient environment
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Prior urgent care or occupational health experience preferred but not required

Other Requirements:

• Ongoing availability starting 03/19/2026, with flexibility as needed
• Ability to work autonomously with supervisory support available by phone
• Willingness to adhere to facility policies and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
