We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Surgery Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant to support urgent cardiac surgeries, from cath lab to operating room, ensuring seamless patient care for adult patients. Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience
- Valid PA license and DEA certification
- Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record system
- Ability to support urgent surgeries and handle 24-hour call shifts
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with vein harvesting procedures
- Prior experience in high-acuity surgical settings
- Additional certifications in advanced cardiovascular care
- Bilingual skills to support diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Certification in acute care is advantageous but not mandatory
- Proven track record in cardiothoracic surgical support and intensive care
Other Requirements
- Active PA license and DEA registration
- Ability to work night shifts, including 3x24-hour shifts per week
- Willingness to support weekend coverage (approximately 3 weekends per month)
- Credentialing completion within 90 days; flexible options available for qualified temporary candidates
- Must adhere to all hospital and state/federal licensing laws

Hourly Pay Rate: $1,034.67
