Overview
Board?certified Rheumatologists are needed to provide impartial medical opinions for Social Security disability cases. This role is non?clinical—no patient care or treatment decisions—and focuses solely on expert review of medical evidence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review Case Files: Evaluate medical records, diagnostic results, treatment history, and functional limitations.
  • Provide Hearing Testimony: Join 15–20 minute phone hearings to answer questions from Administrative Law Judges.
  • Complete Interrogatories: Draft concise written responses to structured medical questionnaires (20–30 minutes each; typically due within 75 days).

Compensation (Per Case)

  • $205 – Study + Live Testimony
  • $165 – Study + Written Interrogatory
  • $95 – Study Only
    Flexible, per?case workload suitable for full?time, semi?retired, or supplemental?income physicians.

Qualifications

  • Board?certified in Rheumatology
  • Active, unrestricted U.S. medical license
  • Ability to provide objective, evidence?based analysis
  • Comfortable with electronic records and phone participation
