Responsibilities/Job Description:

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Neonatologist to join our growing team in Minnesota. In this role, you will provide high-quality, collaborative care to newborns requiring specialized neonatal services while working in a supportive team environment alongside an established group of physicians.

Practice Details:

  • Openings: 0.8 FTE
  • Site/Location: M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital
  • Call Responsibility: Home call
  • As a Pioneer Accountable Care Organization (ACO), our physicians use a multidisplinary team approach in managing clinical care.
  • Full integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to newborns and premature infants
  • Evaluate the physical and mental development of newborns
  • Perform assessments of infants health, including ordering and interpreting lab and imaging tests
  • Prescribe medications and treatment plans
  • Advise parents on infant care and nutrition
  • Attend deliveries and provide emergency care for newborns
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team to ensure the best possible care for the newborn
  • Maintains the electronic medical record in accordance with Fairview standards and in accordance with licensure and scope
  • Recognizes and appropriately responds to medical emergencies
  • Serves as a patient advocate by maintaining patient confidentiality, protecting patient rights, communicating in a timely manner and resolving concerns or complaints regarding care and service

Required Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctorate degree (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) or foreign equivalent from an accredited school of medicine.
  • Graduate of an accredited ACGME training program in neonatology
  • Sub-specialty certification from ABP in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota board of Medical Practice Licensure Currently board certification in Neonatal- Perinatal Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics or an equivalent board of the RCPSC or eligible examination for certification. Current NRP certification
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of MN
  • Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
Qualifications:

$337,663-$375,181 Annual *based on full time (1.0 FTE)
