Join our Team at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Reno, NV as a Clinical Psychologist Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program)! 

Major duties include but not limited to:

  • Duties will include providing psychological assessment services and diagnoses mental disorders, particularly for complex or unusually difficult patients.
  • Provides a full range of comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
  • Serve as an advocate/provider on behalf of the Veterans in the MHC BHIP teams to ensure delivery of comprehensive, seamless MH service.
  • Provides comprehensive psychological assessment and diagnostic services, particularly for complex or unusually difficult patients.
  • Provides a full range of comprehensive, evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions, including individual, family, and group psychotherapy.
  • Serves as an advocate/provider on behalf of veterans in the MHC BHIP teams to ensure delivery of comprehensive, seamless mental health service.
  • Provides consultation to health care providers about assessment findings and treatment plans for patients to ensure that care is coordinated, collaborative, and integrated within the medical center.
  • Makes appropriate referrals and ensures appropriate referrals to specialty programs, including community resources, are accomplished.
  • Provides education to patients and family members regarding mental disorders and best practices approach to treatment.
  • Provides, and where appropriate, refers patients, families and significant others for counseling in health maintenance and disease prevention.
  • Provides clinical supervision to various disciplines and levels of training including psychology interns.
  • Complies with national and local performance measures, including timely health care screening and completion of clinical reminders for all patients.

Benefits and Features

  • Expected Salary range from $91,227 to $185,580 (negotiable based on candidate's qualifications, credentials and experience).
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Telework: This position is eligible for telework on an Ad- Hoc Basis.
