POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Baystate Medical Center (BMC), our level I trauma center located in Springfield MA, is seeking a dual board-certified physician to work in emergency medicine and cardiac critical care.
  • Our cardiac ICU is 20 beds with an average daily census of 10 patients. We also have a 14-bed step-down unit.  Strong APP and multi-disciplinary support.  Very diverse patient population and pathologies.
  • Our Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the state, seeing over 122,000 annual visits. Career paths include clinical, education and research tracks.
  • BMC is home to the UMass-Chan Medical School-Baystate. Opportunity to work closely with medical students, residents and fellows.
  • Qualifications: BE/BC emergency medicine and critical care.
  • The compensation range listed below represents the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range.  Pay ranges are based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees and will be prorated based on FTE in each specialty.  Critical Care:  Minimum= $390,000.  Maximum= $490,000.  Emergency Medicine:  Minimum= $285,000.  Maximum= $460,000.
