Locum - Physician - Emergency Medicine Hot Springs, AR

Required Skills:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical licenses, DEA, and state certifications for Arkansas
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- Proven experience in emergency medicine, including procedures such as intubations, chest tubes, cardioversions, moderate sedation, laceration repair, traumatic injury management, and EKG interpretation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency department
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC and Dragon dictation
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in Level 2 trauma centers
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or ATLS
- Prior experience in a regional or community hospital setting
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine practice, preferably in a trauma or hospital-based setting
- Proven track record handling high acuity cases and complex medical procedures
Other Requirements:
- Availability to cover day, night, and evening shifts, with an average of approximately 130 hours per month
- Ability to start from May 1st, with an ongoing assignment of up to 12 months
- Must be able to perform essential procedures listed in the job duties
- Support from multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, neurologists, cardiologists, and nurses trained in ACLS and PALS
- Participation in a robust referral program and adherence to all applicable licensure, certification, and travel reimbursement policies
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $400/hour and below (Tier 1) or $401-$410/hour (Tier 2)
