Job Title: Locum - Physician - Hospitalist Irvine, KY

Overview:

This critical position offers the opportunity to work in a well-equipped, Level IV Trauma Center, providing essential services to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced hospital setting. Required Skills:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with hospitalist experience
  • Valid medical license in Kentucky or eligible for licensure
  • Proven experience in inpatient hospital care, including managing acute and complex cases
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a high-pressure environment

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with Epic EMR or similar electronic health record systems
  • Previous work in Level IV Trauma Centers
  • Familiarity with nursing home and post-acute care settings
  • Additional certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • At least 3 years of hospitalist or inpatient physician experience preferred
  • Prior locum or short-term coverage experience is advantageous

Other Requirements:
  • Availability to start on April 12, 2026, for covering the specified dates
  • Willingness to provide 24-hour shifts, including unrestricted call coverage during off-hours
  • Ability to work independently in a solo coverage setting
  • Willingness to participate in a competitive pay structure, with rates at $4,000 per 24-hour shift plus call-back compensation
  • Must adhere to all state, federal, and local laws regarding licensure and practice standards
