Physician - Academic

Position Highlights

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for adolescent & young adult patients
• Practice primarily in a general adolescent clinic setting
• Teach and mentor medical students and residents
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric teams

Qualifications

• MD or DO (or equivalent)
• Eligible for state medical license
• Completed residency in:
• Pediatrics
• Medicine/Pediatrics
• Family Medicine
• Adolescent Medicine fellowship preferred (not required)

Facility & Resources

• Practice at WVU Medicine Golisano Childrens Hospital (150 beds)
• Features include:
• Pediatric ORs, cardiac cath lab, GI/endoscopy
• 34 pediatric beds, 54 NICU beds, 26 PICU beds
• Heart Center & Cancer Center
• Affiliated with J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital (880 beds)
• Only facility in WV with:
• Pediatric cardiac surgery program
• Pediatric epilepsy monitoring unit
• Magnet nursing excellence designation
