The Department of Surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center invites applications for a Thoracic Surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level within the Division of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery. This is an exceptional opportunity for an academically driven surgeon to join a growing, multidisciplinary thoracic oncology program at a leading academic health center.
Academic Opportunity
- Faculty appointment within a fully accredited academic medical center
- Active participation in medical student and resident education
- Opportunity to engage in clinical research, program development, and scholarly activity
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team at the OU Health Stephenson Cancer Center, Oklahomas only NCI-designated cancer center
- Contribute to the expansion of a statewide lung cancer screening program, including innovative mobile screening initiatives
Clinical & Programmatic Scope
- Broad thoracic surgical practice encompassing:
- Malignant and benign diseases of the lung and esophagus
- Foregut surgery
- Chest wall, pleural, and mediastinal pathology
- Access to advanced surgical technology, including:
- DaVinci robotic platforms
- Robotic bronchoscopy
- Single-port robotic systems
- Opportunity to help shape and expand a regional referral program in thoracic surgery

Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Thoracic Surgery
