Are you a dedicated Physician Assistant passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate care to those who’ve served our nation? The Royal C. Johnson VA Health Care System in Sioux Falls, SD invites you to become part of our Primary Care Service Line team.
Under the direction of a supervising physician, you’ll deliver comprehensive primary care to Veterans across all clinical settings. From conducting evaluations and managing treatments to educating patients and coordinating care, your expertise will directly enhance the lives of those who sacrificed for ours’.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct patient histories, exams, diagnoses, and treatments for new and follow-up visits.
- Manage lab orders, interpret results, and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Initiate and manage medications, perform EKGs, and recommend appropriate follow-up.
- Document using SOAP format and maintain compliance with all Clinical Reminders.
- Support patient access through face-to-face, group, phone, and secure messaging visits.
- Coordinate care between specialty, surgical, mental health, extended care/rehab, and community services.
- Help drive performance excellence in patient outcomes, access, quality, and productivity while being mindful of resource utilization.
