Join Our Team as a Thoracic Surgeon – Cardio Thoracic Surgery

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of thoracic and cardiac surgical procedures with precision and expertise
- Conduct minimally invasive mitral valve surgeries, with a preference for mitral procedures
- Support Impella 55 devices and other implantable support systems
- Execute aortic valve conservation procedures
- Carry out aortic root procedures, remodeling, and enlargement surgeries
- Provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative patient care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal treatment plans
- Participate in scheduled weekend call coverage, with flexibility for ongoing or long-term availability
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures
- Proficiency in minimally invasive techniques, particularly mitral valve surgery
- Familiarity with Impella devices and advanced support systems
- Strong understanding of aortic valve conservation, root procedures, and remodeling
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and maintain high standards of patient safety
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with complex aortic surgeries and advanced coronary procedures
- Knowledge of the latest thoracic surgical technologies and techniques
- Certification in minimally invasive or advanced cardiac surgery
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Minimum of 3-5 years of post-fellowship surgical experience in a similar setting
Other Requirements:
- Active medical license in the relevant state(s)
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Willingness to participate in weekend call rotations
- Ability to travel for conferences or specialized procedures if requested
This is a dedicated full-time position offering an competitive hourly pay rate of $1.00, with schedule Monday through Friday and weekend call coverage.
