Position Overview:
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Stamford Hospital is seeking a dedicated physician to serve as Director of our Outpatient OB-GYN Clinic. This leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape the clinical, educational, and programmatic direction of our resident-based outpatient practice while building a specialty-focused gynecology career within a dynamic, university-affiliated community hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight of the OB-GYN resident outpatient clinic.
  • Supervise and mentor residents in patient care, professional development, and evidence-based practice.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care with subspecialty providers in Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal Fetal Medicine, and Family Planning.
  • Develop a gynecology practice within the hospital’s Women’s Specialty Center.
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive Menopause & Midlife Health Program, integrating institutional resources to provide multidisciplinary care.
  • Participate in the development of a referral-based gynecologic surgical practice with mentorship available.
  • Contribute to quality, safety, and patient-centered initiatives in outpatient women’s health.

Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree and board certification/eligibility in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
  • Strong commitment to resident teaching and academic development.
  • Interest or experience in menopause and midlife women’s health strongly preferred.
  • Eligibility for Connecticut medical licensure.
