In this role, you will deliver exceptional emergency care in a 12-hour solo ER shift, managing an average of 18-20 patients per shift with a daily patient volume of up to 100. You will operate within an open ICU, collaborating with a physician and two mid-level providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The facility handles approximately 32,000 annual visits, offering a challenging yet rewarding experience for committed emergency medicine professionals.

Required Skills:

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with ER experience
• Active licensure and board certification in relevant specialty
• Proficiency in Meditech 6.1 EMR system
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently during 12-hour shifts
• NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS (must submit proof of enrollment)

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in an open ICU environment
• Experience working with diverse patient populations
• Advanced life support certifications (ACLS, ATLS, PALS)

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from accredited medical school
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience
• Prior work in a 12-hour shift setting preferred

Other Requirements:

• Must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS; providers not enrolled will not be considered
• Willingness to travel up to $500 for travel reimbursements
• Able to work scheduled shifts starting April 24, 2026
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
