Are you a dedicated Nurse Practitioner committed to making a difference in rural healthcare? We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate NP to provide exceptional patient care at a reputable Rural Health Facility just outside Lafayette. This critical role offers the opportunity to serve underserved communities while working alongside a supportive team, including an off-site supervising physician and on-site administrative staff.

In this role, you will manage a diverse patient caseload, including acute illnesses and follow-up care for chronic conditions. Flexibility and independent clinical judgment are essential, as you will operate within a well-structured environment that emphasizes patient-centered care and teamwork. The position begins promptly upon credentialing, with an expected start date as early as 10-15 days after approval, and continues through June 3.

Required Skills:

  • Valid Louisiana License as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Proven clinical experience in internal medicine or family practice
  • Ability to independently examine, diagnose, and develop treatment plans
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively with an on-site team and off-site physician supervision

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Bilingual proficiency
  • Experience in rural or outpatient settings
  • Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP)
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice as a Nurse Practitioner
  • Experience with chronic disease management and acute care

Other Requirements:
  • Completely clean file and current Louisiana license
  • Ability to start within 10-15 days after credentialing
  • Willingness to work M-Thursday from 8am to 5pm and Friday from 8am to noon
  • Coverage during clinic hours to ensure continuous patient access
  • Travel and licensure-related reimbursements as applicable
  • On-site support includes an LPN and front desk team; supervising physician available remotely via phone
