Join Our Team as a Urology Physician – Make a Difference in Patient Care!

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Urology Physician to join our reputable healthcare team. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert urological care in a dynamic hospital setting, supporting a diverse adult patient population. What You Will Do:

  • Manage a varied caseload, including cystoscopy, stent procedures, vasectomies, prostate procedures, ureteroscopy, penile implants, lithotripsy, circumcisions, and occasional pediatric cases.
  • Collaborate with a team of professionals including 4 medical assistants, 1 clinical support assistant, and 1 registered nurse, providing comprehensive urological care.
  • Supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants as needed.
  • Utilize Epic EMR system efficiently.
  • Participate in robotic surgery procedures (optional) within a facility boasting 16 operating rooms.
  • Support urgent and emergent cases, including emergency torsions presenting at York Hospital.
  • Contribute to a multidisciplinary department blending outpatient office visits with advanced surgical procedures.

Required Skills:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology.
  • Valid U.S. medical license; PA license preferred for quicker onboarding.
  • DEA certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent Urology clinical experience.
  • Strong procedural skills including cystoscopy, vasectomy, ureteroscopy, and other core urological interventions.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to hospital-based practice environments.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with robotic surgical systems.
  • Familiarity with pediatric urological procedures.
  • Prior supervision of advanced practice providers.
  • Skills in managing complex cases in a hospital setting.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least one year of clinical practice in Urology, with prior experience in hospital and surgical settings preferred.

Other Requirements:
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care.
  • Willingness to work day shifts, Monday through Friday (08:00 - 17:00).
  • Ability to complete credentialing within approximately 90 days.
  • Travel and licensure reimbursements available where applicable.
