This critical role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment supporting diverse surgical specialties, including Orthopedics, Trauma, Vascular, and Neurosurgery, while collaborating closely with anesthesiologists and anesthesia teams. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide anesthesia support across various departments with patient ages spanning all ranges (excluding neonatal).
  • Support surgical teams by performing intubations, central line placements, arterial lines, and other line insertions.
  • Work within a medically directed model, typically in a 2-1 or 3-1 anesthesia provider ratio.
  • Collaborate with anesthesiologists, anesthesia techs, and residents, focusing on patient safety and education.
  • Cover shifts of 4x10 hours, Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, with availability to work four weeks per month.
  • Maintain proficiency in EMR systems, preferably Epic, and adhere to hospital protocols including NORA requirements.

Required Skills:
  • Valid NBCRNA Certification and current KY state license (or ability to obtain licensing within 90 days).
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a large, Level 1 trauma medical center.
  • Demonstrated skills in intubation, line placement, arterial lines, and central lines.
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia principles and patient safety protocols.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with trauma, vascular, or neuro anesthesia.
  • Familiarity with Epic EMR or similar systems.
  • Additional certifications in advanced airway management or vascular access.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Completion of accredited nurse anesthesia certificate program.
  • Prior employment in a high-volume, trauma or tertiary care hospital setting with level 1 trauma experience.

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work NORA shifts and holiday coverage at 1.5x pay.
  • Credentialing within 90 days of hire.
  • Flexibility to support a 26-week contract with potential extension.
  • Travel and licensure reimbursements as applicable.

Hourly Pay Rate: $226.20
