We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Gastroenterology Physician to deliver exceptional inpatient services at our esteemed healthcare facilities. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide inpatient gastroenterology services at Moses Cone and Wesley Long Hospitals.
  • Perform specialized procedures including ERCP and EUS.
  • Collaborate with supportive staff, including Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using EPIC EMR system.

Required Skills:
  • Board Certification in Gastroenterology.
  • Valid state medical license; IMLC accepted.
  • Proven experience performing ERCP and EUS.
  • DEA certification.
  • Strong documentation skills, with preferred EPIC EMR experience.
  • Commitment to patient safety, with required vaccines.
  • Ability to obtain hospital privileging within 60-90 days.
  • Willingness to obtain necessary licensing and travel as needed.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with hospital-based inpatient care.
  • Knowledge of hospital workflows and multidisciplinary team coordination.
  • Familiarity with advanced gastroenterology procedures.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years' post-fellowship experience in gastroenterology.
  • Prior experience with ERCP and EUS procedures in a hospital setting.

Other Requirements:
  • Commitment to adhering to all vaccine mandates.
  • Capable of traveling for contract assignments, including flights and lodging.
  • Availability for a scheduled start date of August 17, 2026, and willing to participate in privileging and licensure processes.
