A leading healthcare research firm is seeking Ophthalmic Surgeons and Surgical Scrub Nurses/Technologists to participate in an upcoming in-person usability study focused on an innovative ophthalmic device.
This is a paid, one-on-one research opportunitynot a clinical trialwhere participants will interact with a simulated device and provide professional feedback.
Study Details
- Location: New York City (in-person)
- Dates: Anticipated June 15-18, 2026
- Format: Individual sessions (not a focus group)
- Activities:
- Device training
- Simulated use on a training model (no patient procedures)
- Feedback discussion
Compensation
- Ophthalmic Surgeons: Up to $1,050 total
- $300 (30-min training)
- $750 (75-min session)
- Surgical Scrub Nurses / Surgical Technologists: Up to $375 total
- $125 (30-min training)
- $250 (60-min session)
Participant Requirements
Ophthalmic Surgeons
- MD or DO, board-certified in Ophthalmology
- Currently practicing (general or glaucoma specialty)
- XEN GelStent certified
- Experience performing XEN implant procedures
Surgical Scrub Nurses / Technologists
- RN or Surgical Technologist
- Currently provide intraoperative support for ophthalmic procedures
- Experience assisting with ophthalmic implant procedures
General Qualifications
- Must reside in the United States
- Able to attend a full in-person session
- Comfortable being video/audio recorded for research purposes
- Not employed by a pharmaceutical, medical device, or market research company
- Willing to sign consent and confidentiality agreements

- This is a usability study onlyno medications or live procedures involved
- All activities are performed on training models
- Participants must bring valid ID and professional credentials
