Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Cardiology
- State medical license (IMLC or WV temporary license accepted)
- DEA certification
- Current BLS, ACLS, and TEE certifications
- Proficiency in performing and interpreting nuclear medicine stress tests, exercise stress tests, EKGs, Echos, and TEE
- Excellent clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Cerner EMR system
- Prior experience in a hospital-based cardiology practice
- Knowledge of adult cardiology patient management
- Familiarity with workload management in high-volume clinics
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- At least 3-5 years of post-residency clinical experience in cardiology
- Previous hospital-based ambulatory care experience
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work steady clinic hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- 24/7 call coverage with 4-5 consults daily and 1-2 after-hours calls
- Participation in holiday coverage at 1.2x pay on designated holidays
- Willingness to obtain licensure if not currently licensed, including credentialing within 30-45 days
- Practice setting involves supervision of test procedures and outpatient patient care for a majority population aged 50+
