Nurse Practitioner - Cardiothoracic Surgery

St. Josephs Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiac Surgery program at St. Josephs Hospital in Syracuse, NY. This is a non operative advanced practitioner role within a collaborative cardiothoracic surgery team delivering high quality, patient centered care.

Position Details

• Complete daily rounds with the Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS) team caring for cardiac surgery patients primarily in the step down unit
• Participate in one weekend per month rounding rotation with the opportunity to cross train to the ICU
• Manage admissions including transfers from outside facilities and the emergency department
• Finalize patient discharges including patient education, care coordination with nursing staff, rehabilitation, etc.
• No call requirements

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• NYS licensure
• DEA certification
• ACLS/BLS

Compensation

• Compensation range:  $110,250-$181,792
• $5,000 Starting Bonus
• $5,000 Relocation Bonus (if live 50 mile outside Syracuse)
