Join Our Team as a Locum Pediatric Hospitalist in Great Barrington, MA
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Locum Pediatric Hospitalist to provide exceptional inpatient care at a reputable Critical Access Hospital in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Required Skills:
- Valid medical license and board certification in Pediatrics or Family Medicine
- Proven experience in inpatient pediatric care
- Proficiency in non-invasive ventilation management (BIPAP/CPAP), intubation, and newborn resuscitation
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and respond to in-house codes when necessary
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with Meditech Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Prior experience in a critical access or rural hospital setting
- Pediatric intensive care experience
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of residency in Pediatrics or Family Medicine with pediatric hospitalist rotation
- At least 2 years of post-residency inpatient pediatric experience
- Experience working in a hospital setting with newborn care
Other Requirements:
- Availability to cover one weekend per month (Friday 7 pm to Monday 7 am)
- Ability to respond promptly to in-house codes and emergencies
- Willingness to undergo credentialing process (estimated time: approximately 3 months)
- Travel reimbursement and licensure/certification support provided where applicable
