Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) – Locum Tenens

Your expertise will support urgent care needs, ensuring timely interventions for patients in critical moments, all within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Required Skills:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with current, unrestricted medical licensure.
• Board certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Proven experience in emergency OB-GYN procedures and emergent GYN interventions.
• Ability to handle emergent cases independently and efficiently.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
• Flexibility to cover 24-hour call shifts and respond promptly to emergent patient needs.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous experience in a hospital-based emergency setting.
• Advanced life-support certifications such as ACLS, ATLS.
• Familiarity with hospital electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Comfort with telemedicine or remote consultation as needed.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology, with exposure to emergency procedures.
• Previous locum or temporary staffing experience is a plus.

Other Requirements:

• Availability to commit to at least one week per month for ongoing coverage.
• Ability to work 24-hour call shifts, including back-to-back days.
• Must be prepared to assist with emergent GYN procedures that may be infrequent but require readiness.
• Must adhere to all state, federal, and local licensure, certification, and compliance requirements.
• Willingness to travel if necessary; reimbursed for eligible travel and related expenses.
