Position Overview

Serve patients in moments that matter and be a part of the future of health care. SCP Health is seeking a dedicated Physician to join our dynamic team at CHRISTUS Health Mount Pleasant - HM.   • 26 Med Surg unit + all ED holds (about 35 pts/day)
  • 8 ortho beds
    • HM consult often for medical management
  • 8 ICU beds
  • Current staffing model:
    • Day: 1 MD + 1 NPPA
    • Night: 1 MD
  • Subspecialties - Behavioral Health, Cardiology, Gen Surg - also covers GI surgeries, Spine / Ortho, Neuro, Pulmonary (if ICU physician is double boarded), ID - by phone only
  • Tele services - Nephro, Neuro (when physician not on service), ICU on nights
  • ICU or IR does all procedures
  • No hemodialysis on-site currently
  • EMR: Epic Connect (Note: this is not the same as the version of EPIC that the rest of Christus uses. Eventually, the group at Titus will have to convert to Christus version of EPIC but that likely wont be until next year)
  • 1 Med Student per month

Qualifications

  • Education:FM or IM Residency Trained
  • Licensure:TX or willing to obtain TX state license
  • Board Certification:ABIM/ABFM
