Located in suburban Kansas City, AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is searching for a dynamic, energetic, and team-oriented fellowship-trained Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist to join our Birthing Center and Women’s Health Program. The successful physician will play a pivotal role helping to grow and develop our program. Highly qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Practice Highlights:

  • Join an established Maternal Fetal Medicine practice alongside our current MFM physician with a strong and stable referral base.
  • Work alongside a dedicated team of obstetricians, hospitalists, and specialists
  • Team based care model with dedicated APP support
  • Focus solely on providing consultations and support for pregnancies
  • Genetic counselor available on-site two days a week
  • No requirement for high-risk deliveries

Practice Description:

  • 5-day work week, Monday through Friday schedule
  • Responsibilities include inpatient consultations, antepartum rounding, and virtual consultations
  • No ER coverage required
  • See an average of 20 patients daily, including ultrasounds
  • Perform amniocentesis and be prepared to perform cyst aspirations in the future

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Board certification in ABOG with subspecialty certification/eligibility in Maternal Fetal Medicine
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
