We are looking for a fulltime, Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) in our inpatient Psychiatric Services Department. Advanced Practice Providers provide medical care and treatment under the supervision and support of a team of on-site board-certified psychiatrists. Services offered include psychiatric treatment, psychotherapy sessions, group therapy in a structured setting, medication therapy, family therapy, support group meetings, and relapse prevention. The position is Monday through Friday. The provider works in close collaboration with the Medical Director of Psychiatric Services providing care to patients with major mental illness and providing psychiatric consultative services to the medical/surgical inpatients as well as the Emergency Department. Typical patient load does not exceed eight patients per day. There is no on-call requirement.
Rutland Regional Psychiatric Services recently began a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation program. The successful candidate may choose to become certified to use this innovative treatment option.

Minimum Education
Masters Degree in Nursing or Graduate of an American Medical Association approved Physician Assistant educational program.
Minimum Work Experience
2 years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience in specialty area being sought
Required Licenses/Certifications
Registration with the Vermont State Education Department as a Nurse Practitioner and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or equivalent certifying bodies, or
Registration with the Vermont State Board of Medical Practice as a Physician's Assistant and certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on the Certification of Physicians Assistants.
Unit-specific certifications as required (ACLS, TNCC, PALS, ENPC) per specific department operational framework.
Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification based on department specific guidelines.
