Exciting Locum Physician Opportunity in Cardiac Anesthesiology – Omaha, NE
Join a leading academic medical center as a Locum Physician specializing in Cardiac Anesthesiology, where your expertise will directly impact life-saving procedures in a dynamic, high-volume environment. In this role, you will provide specialized anesthesia services, including TEE-guided procedures, supporting a variety of cardiac surgeries, and assisting with general anesthesia cases as needed. Your contributions will help ensure seamless operations within a comprehensive, state-of-the-art facility.
Required Skills:
- Active certification in Anesthesiology and current TEE certification.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship or equivalent.
- At least five years of documented experience in cardiac anesthesiology if fellowship-trained.
- Proven proficiency in advanced perioperative echocardiography (NBE testamur status).
- Exceptional clinical judgment and patient management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Additional certifications in Echocardiography or related cardiology imaging.
- Experience supervising CRNAs in an operative setting.
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR systems.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesiology.
- Minimum of five years of comprehensive cardiac anesthesia experience with demonstrated expertise.
- Proven track record in high-volume cardiac centers, handling approximately 360–450 cardiac cases annually.
Other Requirements:
- Must be TEE certified.
- Willingness to obtain Nebraska licensure (if not already licensed).
- Flexibility to work from May 2026 through December 2026, including overnight and weekend call shifts.
- Ability to start as soon as possible, with ongoing availability.
Pay Rate: Competitive with rates including malpractice coverage, orientation, holiday, night call, and callback stipends. Specific hourly pay rate provided upon application.
