The Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in coastal Charleston, SC is seeking a critical care anesthesiologist. The position is a full-time, academic, multi-disciplinary team-based practice including resident and fellow clinical and didactic education.

 

About the Division of Critical Care Anesthesia:

The Division of Critical Care Anesthesia at MUSC is dedicated to the management of critically ill patients across a variety of high-acuity settings, including surgical and medical intensive care units. Faculty are board-certified in both anesthesiology and critical care medicine and work within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment to deliver advanced, evidence-based care. The division supports a major academic medical center and Level I trauma program, providing exposure to complex cases and diverse patient populations. Physicians are actively engaged in the education and mentorship of residents and fellows, as well as in clinical research initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • American Board of Anesthesiology certification or eligibility
  • Fellowship training with eligibility and certification in subspecialty critical care boards
  • Eligibility for South Carolina Licensure
  • Strong clinical, education and interpersonal skills that will enable one to work collaboratively with colleagues and be a leader within the department and institution
  • Research experience and interests are preferred but not required
