  • Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing
  • Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Neurosurgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgery 
  • Fellowship training in a neurosurgical subspecialty (spine, vascular, tumor, etc.) is a plus but not required
  • Participate in neurosurgical call coverage and inpatient consultative services and collaborate closely with neurology, critical care, oncology, emergency medicine, and rehabilitation teams in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Candidates can participate in outcomes-based research, clinical trials, and collaborative neurosurgical research initiatives
  • Opportunity to contribute to a growing research portfolio in areas such as neuro-oncology, cerebrovascular disease, neuromodulations, and emerging surgical technologies
  • Candidate can engage in scholarly activity including publications, presentations, and national conference participation while also collaborating in multidisciplinary research partnerships across neuroscience, oncology, and rehabilitation services
  • The Marcus Neuroscience Institute, located at Boca Raton Regional Hospital in a 57,000-square-foot facility, includes a 20-bed neuroscience intensive care unit and four dedicated operating rooms, including intraoperative MRI and CT technology, as well as a biplane angiography suite
  • Academically affiliated with Florida International University (FIU) and Florida Atlantic University (FAU), BHSF has been teaching residents at FAU since 2018, and most recently launched a 16-resident neurology program at FIU in 2025.
