Join Our Dynamic Surgical Team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - General Surgery

What You’ll Do:
- Collaborate with our experienced surgical team to assist in over 90 scheduled non-urgent cases weekly, including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Urology, and ENT.
- Support an average of 10-30 daily surgical cases, ensuring seamless procedures from start to finish.
- Work alongside surgeons, scrub techs, circulating RNs, and CRNAs in the operating room, providing vital assistance during surgeries.
- Maintain flexibility with occasionally running surgeries past standard hours, providing excellent continuity of care.
- Contribute to a dedicated team focused solely on surgical support, with no outpatient clinic responsibilities.
Required Skills:
- Valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Proven experience or training in surgical patient care and assistance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic schedule and manage multiple cases efficiently.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior exposure to general surgery, orthopedics, or related specialties.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Practice Certification.
- Experience working in a hospital setting or surgical suite.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Nursing (for Nurse Practitioners) or a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
- At least 2 years of surgical support experience or demonstrated competency in surgical assisting roles.
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and multidisciplinary team collaboration.
Other Requirements:
- Flexibility to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with potential rotating weekends.
- Willingness to support cases that may extend into the evening hours.
- Valid state licensure and certifications, with travel and licensure reimbursements as applicable.
- Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and care.
