Physician - Regional Anesthesia

The Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in coastal Charleston, SC is seeking a regional anesthesiologist to join their cohesive, highly functioning group. The position is full-time, academic, multi-disciplinary team-based practice including resident and fellow clinical and didactic education. The ideal candidate would prefer a practice emphasizing a wide range of skill sets and surgical populations.

About the Division of Regional Anesthesia:

The Division of Regional Anesthesia at MUSC provides advanced regional anesthesia and acute pain management services within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Utilizing cutting edge technology and techniques, the division focuses on optimizing perioperative pain control and enhancing recovery pathways. As part of a nationally recognized academic health system, faculty benefit from opportunities in teaching, research, and clinical innovation while working alongside experienced surgical and anesthesia teams.

Required Qualifications:

• American Board of Anesthesiology certification or eligibility
• Completion of a regional fellowship or relevant experience
• Eligibility for South Carolina licensure
• Strong clinical, education and interpersonal skills that will enable one to work collaboratively with colleagues and be a leader within the department and institution
• Research experience and interests are preferred but not required.
