Exciting Opportunity: Internal Medicine – Hematology & Oncology Physician

What You’ll Do:
- Provide expert medical care to hematology and oncology patients through four flexible shifts per week, each lasting 8–10 hours based on patient volume.
- Manage a patient caseload of approximately 12–15 patients daily, ensuring comprehensive care.
- Handle light call duties via beeper for established patients, averaging 2–5 calls per week, primarily by phone, to ensure continuity of care.
- Collaborate with a team of three dedicated permanent providers in a well-established oncology center.
- Enjoy a schedule that supports work-life balance with overtime compensated after 40 hours per week.
- Optional apartment available for your convenience, especially for long-term, driving-distance candidates.
Required Skills: - Valid medical license and board certification in Internal Medicine, with specialized training or experience in Hematology and Oncology preferred.
- Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage a diverse oncology patient population effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with patients and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Nice to Have Skills: - Experience in outpatient oncology settings.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Prior experience managing light on-call responsibilities.
Preferred Education and Experience: - MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2+ years of post-residency clinical experience in hematology and oncology.
- Commitment to long-term tenure and neighborhood-based practice.
Other Requirements: - Ability to travel locally if needed for patient care coordination.
- Active state medical license and board certification in Internal Medicine or Hematology/Oncology.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including light call duties.
