General Summary:
The ARNP or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:
- Performs physical examinations of hospital patients including, but not limited to: new patient visits, pre & post-operative care, hospital consultations, inpatient rounding and discharging of patients per hospital protocol
- Provides assistance during procedures when requested
- Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc
- Monitors the patient’s course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed
- Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff
- Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, and the public.
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to handle a high volume of patients in an inpatient setting
- Position requires a 7 on/7 off work schedule with daily hours for day/Nocturnist shit TBD
- Candidate must be able to pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen

Required Education/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studies
Preferred Education/Experience:
- Previous Internal Medicine or Hospitalist experience is required 1 -2 years
- Prefer 2 years of inpatient based medicine, preferably in Internal Medicine
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
- Current, valid Florida ARNP or PA license (or eligibility) required
- Current, valid DEA license
- ANCC (or equivalent) or PANCE Certification (or eligibility) required
- Current BLS and ACLS required
