What You’ll Do:

  • Provide specialized gastroenterology consultations, diagnostics, and procedures for patients aged 18 and above
  • Collaborate with onsite anesthesiology staff to deliver comprehensive care
  • Manage a daily census of 30-50 patients, including new consults (9-16/day) and follow-ups
  • Conduct scheduled outpatient procedures in a well-equipped hospital setting
  • Participate in on-call rotations, including night call shifts
  • Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management
  • Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain high standards of clinical safety and efficiency

Required Skills:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (BE/BC) in Gastroenterology
  • Valid Pennsylvania medical license
  • DEA certification
  • At least 1 year of clinical experience in gastroenterology
  • Proficient in outpatient procedures; experience with procedures such as ERCP or EUS is a plus but not required
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage a diverse adult patient population effectively

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with emergency and outpatient procedures
  • Advanced procedural skills or subspecialty certifications
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
  • Ability to handle a variable patient census and adapt to fast-paced environments

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1 year post-residency experience in a hospital setting
  • Current licensure and certification in Pennsylvania

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work 10-hour days (7 am–5 pm) plus on-call duties
  • Ability to travel or accommodate credentialing processes as needed
