We are seeking versatile and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants specializing in Emergency Medicine, and Nurse Practitioners for our fast-paced urgent care centers. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the Wilmington and nearby communities, offering comprehensive medical services to adults and children in a supportive and collaborative environment.

What You’ll Do:

As a key member of our team, you'll deliver prompt, effective care for urgent and minor emergency cases across all age groups, including pediatrics (6 months and up). You will independently manage high-volume patient loads, perform minor procedures such as I&D, laceration repairs, and ear irrigations, and utilize EPIC EMR for seamless patient documentation. Your soft skills, professionalism, and positive attitude will foster trusting relationships with patients and support staff alike. You will be supported by our offsite supervising physicians and dedicated team members to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.

Required Skills:

  • State licensure as an NP or PA, board certification (BC / NCCPA / NP Boards)
  • Minimum of 12 months of clinical experience in urgent or emergency care settings
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
  • Ability to independently see and treat all patients in the center
  • Experience treating both adult and pediatric patients (6 months+)
  • BLS certification and valid NC DEA license
  • Strong soft skills and excellent communication abilities
  • Capacity to handle high patient volumes in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with minor procedures such as I&D, lac repair, and ear irrigation
  • Prior experience working in urgent care centers
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new EMR systems and workflows
  • Familiarity with working in collaborative teams and supporting diverse patient needs

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Graduate degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited institution
  • Active clinical practice for at least 12 months in urgent or emergency care
  • Up-to-date national certifications and licenses

Other Requirements:
  • Availability for full-time shifts including summer coverage
  • Local candidates residing within 60 miles of Wilmington, NC (reimbursement limit: 30 miles each way)
  • Participation in scheduled EMR and onboarding trainings (scheduled Wednesdays)
  • Commitment to providing consistent, high-quality care in a community-focused setting
