Job Description:  
Duties include leadership as the medical program director of the Joint Commission Advanced Accreditation SCI program at Rusk, and chronic care of patients with SCI who have ongoing rehabilitation needs.  The SCI medicine program at MU Health Care is an established area of treatment for patients with SCI who reside in the mid-Missouri area and beyond.  Prominent features of this practice include:

    Joint Commission Advanced Accreditation for SCI at Rusk
    Teaching responsibilities for the MU PM&R residency program (12 residents)
    Spasticity treatment program including neurotoxin, intrathecal baclofen
    Excellent relationships with orthopedic and neurosurgery colleagues
    MIZZOU Neuro Center outpatient treatment center (on site) with PT/OT/ST specialized therapists in neurologic treatment (including seating clinic)
    PM&R research faculty with grant funded opportunities for clinical and translational research collaboration

Minimum Qualifications: M.D or D.O. in Physiatry
Candidates will be evaluated on: The ideal candidate will have subspecialty certification or experience in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine.
