Required Skills:

• Valid and active Iowa medical license (or willing to obtain via IMLC)
• Board-certified or eligible in Anesthesiology
• Proven experience with general anesthesia cases including orthopedics, labor & delivery, spine, GI, gynecology, urology, cath lab, interventional radiology, bariatric procedures, and vascular cases
• Strong knowledge of EMR systems, specifically EPIC
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a hospital setting

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in a hospital with high surgical volume (approximately 3,600 surgeries per year)
• Previous Utah credentialing or multi-facility coverage experience
• Familiarity with on-call and holiday coverage procedures
• Additional certifications in pain management or related specialties

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Minimum 2 years of clinical anesthesiology experience in a hospital environment
• Prior locum or temporary staffing experience is a plus

Other Requirements:

• Availability to start as soon as possible, with flexible scheduling primarily on Friday evenings, and full coverage on Saturdays and Sundays
• Willingness to handle overnight and holiday calls, including night calls and 24-hour holiday coverage
• Travel arrangements including preferred lodging and air travel from your location (please specify in your application if any travel restrictions or needs exist)
• Ability to complete credentialing process within 60 days
