This full-time locum position offers the flexibility of a split schedule with comprehensive support in a trauma level 1 hospital setting. Required Skills:
- Board certification or eligibility in Urology (BC or BE)
- Active PA license (preferred for quicker onboarding) or equivalent IMLC certification
- Minimum of 1 year of Urology practice experience
- DEA certification
- Proficiency in core procedures such as cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, vasectomy, prostate procedures, penile implants (rare), and lithotripsy
- Ability to supervise Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment with 24/7 call responsibilities
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with robotic surgery and operating room procedures
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
- Experience with trauma-level 1 hospital settings
- Ability to perform pediatric urological procedures on rare occasions
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree with Urology specialization
- At least 1 year of practice post-certification, but recent graduates are encouraged to apply
Other Requirements:
- Ability to commit to a schedule including 24-hour call shifts from June through July
- Willingness to support on-call emergencies, including torsions and rare pediatric cases
- Travel and licensure reimbursements where applicable
- Credentialing expected within 90 days; temporary licenses accepted with a clean file
