About this role
As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in Cardiothoracic (CT) Surgery youll work with 2 CT Surgeons, and 2 other APPs to provide top-notch care and patient experience. Throughout your shift each day, youll collaborate with Cardiologists in both an inpatient and outpatient setting.
Clinical Practice Details
You would practice at our CT Surgery clinic and Intermountain Lutheran Hospital in Wheat Ridge, CO
Rotating schedule with 3 total PAs, including 24-hour call coverage and weekend rounding
Occasional call and rounding at St. Joseph Hospital, a sister facility in Denver
First assist in cardiac/thoracic surgeries; minimal vascular case load including dialysis access
On average, one case per day
MUST have proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting
Place foley catheters and invasive lines
Team responsibilities include ICU/ telemetry rounding, discharges and first assist coverage for all cases
Clinic coverage for post-op patients
What youll bring

Graduate from an accredited Physician assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
Licensed as PA or NP in the state of CO or able to obtain
DEA and full prescriptive authority in CO
Minimum of 2 years as a First Assist PA or NP in a CT Surgery setting (please, no new graduates)
Minimum of 1 year experience with proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting for bypass procedures
How we'll support you
Compensation:
Our compensation consists of a base salary plus call pay (Q3 call). The salary is calculated on years of experience and can range from$140,000 - $193,000.
Additionally, we are offering a$10,000sign on bonus as well as relocation, if applicable (up to$7500).
You would also receive up to$4,000annually to take CME plus an additional 5 days of time over PTO.
