About this role

As a Hand Orthopedic Surgeon at Intermountain Health, you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. Other orthopedic sub specialties covered in the group include fellowship trained specialists in operative sports medicine, adult reconstruction, hand and elbow, foot and ankle, hip preservation, pediatrics, musculoskeletal trauma, podiatry and non-surgical sports medicine.

In this ortho hand practice, you will work alongside a collegial group of 15 physicians that also include 3 traumatologists and 17 advanced practice providers (APPs).

Clinical Practice

  • Working Full Time, 40 hours/week at the Rocky Mountain Clinic, St. Mary's Hospital and Grand Valley Surgical Center (ASC)

  • You can anticipate 2 days per week in clinic and 2 days per week OR surgical time; patient-preferred hours are encouraged

  • Hand call requirements but you will not be obligated to take general ortho calls

  • Comprehensive treatment for most hand condition

An ideal candidate will have successfully completed fellowship training in hand surgery. In addition, have experience in brachial plexus and free flap procedures (i.e. microvascular, peripheral nerves).

  • Compensation:

    • Annual Base Salary: $560,000.00

    • wRVU Bonus: Earn an additional $75.00per wRVU over 8,900wRVUs per year

    • Starting Bonus $30,000.00

    • Relocation: up to $20,000.00

    • Student Loan Assistance: $75,000.00

    • Orthopedic Hand Call: To be discussed during interview

What youll bring

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine

  • Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery

  • Fellowship training in Hand Surgery

  • Active, unobstructed Colorado medical license, or the ability to obtain one

  • Ability to successfully complete St. Marys credentialing process

  • We are not able to accept candidates requiring Visa sponsorship at this time
