This role offers the unique opportunity to provide inpatient surgical care to pediatric patients under Level 1 trauma and pediatric standards, working alongside dedicated support staff. Required Skills:

  • Valid and active state medical license required (no IMLC considered).
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Surgery.
  • Minimum of 90 days credentialing time with CVO.
  • Certifications: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS.
  • Experience in inpatient pediatric surgery, trauma, and emergency procedures.
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to respond to call outs within 15 minutes.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Must see patients under 18 years old.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience in Level 1 trauma centers.
  • Familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
  • Experience in pediatric critical care and trauma management.
  • Bilingual skills or multilingual capabilities.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution.
  • Residency in Pediatric Surgery with relevant clinical experience in trauma settings.
  • Prior coverage or experience in acute care or emergency pediatric surgery is highly valued.

Other Requirements:
  • Must hold an active state license; IMLC license is not considered.
  • Willingness to work July 24-27, 2026, with inpatient rounds, call, and consult duties.
  • Call schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, with a 15-minute response time.
  • Ongoing need with future opportunities for assignments.
  • Travel and lodging reimbursements available when applicable.
