Advocate?Health Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, NC,?seeks?a full-time, Board Certified/Board Eligible Pediatric Transplant Hepatologist to join its expanding liver transplant program. As part of Advocate Health—the nation’s third largest nonprofit healthcare system—this role offers the opportunity to contribute to a leading pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology division, recognized as the largest in North Carolina and ranked #22 nationally by U.S. News & World Report.?
The Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology Division at Levine Children’s Hospital?comprises?14 physicians and 10 nurse practitioners, supported by a multidisciplinary care team including nurses, dietitians, psychologists, social workers, research coordinators, and quality improvement specialists.?The team provides more than?17,000?outpatient visits and?2,700?procedures annually.???
Liver transplantation services are provided in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), with UPMC surgeons working alongside local transplant surgeons at Levine Children’s Hospital. Pediatric transplant hepatologists coordinate closely with both surgical teams to ensure comprehensive medical care for transplant patients. In 2025, the?growing?program performed pediatric liver transplants.?
