Are you an experienced cardiovascular surgeon seeking a rewarding opportunity to provide exceptional care in a vibrant community? We are looking for a dedicated Locum Physician to join Bon Secours - St. Francis Downtown in Greenville, SC, for a short-term assignment that challenges your skills and broadens your impact. Required Skills:
- MD or DO degree with active medical license in South Carolina or eligible for licensure
- Board certification or eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- Proven experience performing aneurysm repairs, coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG), and heart valve replacements
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently in a hospital rounding environment and handle surgical procedures as required
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in a locum or temporary physician role
- Ability to perform additional cardiothoracic procedures
- Familiarity with hospital protocols and multidisciplinary teams
- Bilingual abilities a plus
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Completion of fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- At least 3 years of post-residency experience in cardiac surgery
- Valid and current medical license in South Carolina or eligible for licensure
Other Requirements:
- Availability for coverage starting July 3, 2026, through early morning on July 6, 2026
- Reliable transportation for travel reimbursement purposes
- Willingness to participate in call rotations (details to be announced)
- Certification in ACLS and BLS preferred
- Travel expenses including flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rates
