We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to lead our Orthopedic Trauma Surgery team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:

• Lead our team of Advanced Practitioners who practice inpatient ortho trauma at Baystate Medical Center (BMC) in Springfield MA. BMC is a Level I trauma center and home to one of the busiest EDs on the east coast.

• Provide direct supervision and educational opportunities for APPs, as well as participate in QI initiatives.

• Partner closely with division leadership and other APP Supervisors to develop and implement department growth strategies.

• Care for patients in a variety of settings including Trauma bay, ED, ICU, inpatient units, and first assist in the OR.

Qualifications: Board Certified Physician Assistant. 5+ years’ experience in an orthopedic surgery setting with management experience. Must have both inpatient and emergency medicine ortho experience. We seek a driven, creative and flexible leader that is committed to team building and quality improvement.

Compensation: $146,050 - $184,990

The compensation ranges in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
