UVA Health is seeking board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatric physicians for 100% outpatient opportunities across its established Culpeper practices and a brand-new community health practice in Virginia all backed by the resources, specialty access, and academic strength of a leading university health system.
Position Highlights
- Opportunities: Multiple openings across three outpatient practices Culpeper Primary Care (Family Medicine / Internal Medicine), Culpeper Pediatrics, and a new Community Health Family Medicine practice.
- Setting: 100% outpatient no inpatient or hospital rounding.
- Experience: New graduates welcome at the established Culpeper practices; experienced physicians sought to launch the new Community Health practice.
- Clinical volume: Roughly 20-25 patients per day once fully ramped.
- Team & support: Collaborative practices with advanced practice providers (APPs), rotating UVA specialists on site at Culpeper, and a dyad leadership model and statewide growth strategy at Community Health.
- Technology: Epic across all sites; telemedicine options offered.
- Call: Rotating weekly call at Culpeper; shared call with after-hours nurse triage at Community Health plus no OB/prenatal care requirements.
- Visa sponsorship: None at the Culpeper practices; H-1B and J-1 considered for the Community Health practice.
- Academic: Optional teaching and precepting of medical students.
- Leadership: Physician leadership opportunities available including a dyad leadership model, committee involvement, and potential to grow into formal leadership and medical director roles as the practices expand.
Position Benefits
- Compensation: Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, including a production (wRVU) model with a multi-year base salary guarantee for the new practice, plus quality and performance incentives.

- MD or DO
- Virginia State Medical License (or ability to obtain)
