What You’ll Do
- Provide hematology/oncology physician coverage in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Manage a mixed patient population of adults and geriatrics
- Deliver care across ~70% oncology and ~30% hematology (no internal medicine coverage required)
- See an average of 12–25 outpatients per day and 2–8 hospital patients per day
- Coordinate clinical decision-making using Epic EMR
- Cover rounding/call responsibilities as required by the facility coverage model (no call required per schedule)
- Work within a practice setting with 1 physician in practice and no APP support
What You Need
Required
- Hematology/Oncology physician training/qualifications (specific board status not provided)
- Ability to complete credentialing (temporary privileges typically 3–14 days after application submission)
Preferred
- Experience in both inpatient and outpatient oncology/hematology care
- Familiarity with Epic EMR workflows

Cancer Institute coverage is needed at Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, VA for ASAP, ongoing Hematology Oncology physician support. The schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:00am–5:00pm, with no weekends and no call, handling a blend of oncology and hematology patients across both clinic and hospital settings.
