What You’ll Do
- Begin the day with rounds alongside residents to establish care plans for inpatient neurosurgery patients
- Review patient needs and see patients that require evaluation as directed by the team’s plan
- Place orders and manage ongoing inpatient treatment plans
- Participate in patient transitions including discharge planning and follow-through
- Provide patient care only (no OR involvement; supported by a resident program)
- Focus on timely, organized inpatient management within an academic hospital setting using Epic
- Preferred: help with drain management (Hemovac/JP), when appropriate to your scope
What You Need
Required - Board Certification: Neurosurgery (BC in Neurosurgery required)
- State License: Massachusetts (MA)
- Experience: At least 1 year of neurosurgery experience
- Ability to complete credentialing (estimated up to 90 days)
Preferred - Familiarity and/or comfort with removing hemovac / JP drains (as supported by scope and credentialing)
