What You’ll Do
  • Participate in daily inpatient neurosurgery rounding with residents to align on patient plans
  • Review patients needing to be seen, assess status, and coordinate next steps
  • Write/issue orders and manage inpatient workflow to support continuity of care
  • Support inpatient neurosurgery patient management, including ongoing updates to the plan of care
  • Assist with discharge-related tasks after inpatient management needs are addressed
  • Provide patient care only (resident program supports procedural/OR needs)
  • Prefer to assist with drain management (e.g., hemovac/jp drains) when applicable
What You Need
Required
  • Board Certification in Neurosurgery
  • Massachusetts (MA) state license
  • At least 1 year of neurosurgery experience
  • Ability to complete credentialing (timeframe noted: 90 days)

Preferred
  • Experience with removing hemovac/jp drains

Join a hospital inpatient neurosurgery team in Boston caring for adult patients. Your role will focus on inpatient assessment, rounding with residents, ordering and coordination, and supporting the day-to-day plan of care—while the resident program provides OR assistance, so APPs remain focused on patient care.
