What You’ll Do
- Provide inpatient OB Hospitalist coverage.
- Serve as backup call support for Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs).
- Manage and support high-risk obstetrical deliveries.
- Collaborate closely with CNMs, including a team workflow where CNMs take first call and are trained as surgical first assist.
- Work with a multidisciplinary team, including 24/7 anesthesiology, neonatology, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists.
- Respond to callback needs while maintaining required proximity: remain within 15 minutes of the hospital while on call.
- Manage approximately 600 annual deliveries using Meditech (EMR).
What You Need
Required
- Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Active Tennessee medical license
- Active DEA registration
- Minimum 2 years of OB Hospitalist experience
- High-risk delivery experience required
- Ability to maintain 15-minute proximity to the hospital while on call
Preferred
- Experience supporting inpatient OB care in a hospital setting with multidisciplinary specialty support (anesthesiology, neonatology, MFM)
