A Prosthodontist performs a full range of professional dental duties in connection with the treatment of commonly encountered dental diseases or dental health problems requiring standard corrective restorative, or preventive measures. The candidate provides patient care which is appropriate to the cognitive, emotional, and chronological maturation needs of the adult (ages 18-65), or older adult (ages 56-older) patients.

Duties: 

  • Comprehensive prosthodontics examination, consultation, overall restorative treatment planning
  • Complete and partial overdentures, involving the combination case syndrome
  • Fixed and removable prostheses involving precision attachments
  • Prosthodontic treatment of malposed teeth, occlusal plane discrepancies, changes to the existing vertical dimension of occlusion with or without concomitant restoration of anterior guidance
  • Full veneer ceramic restorations, as well as ceramic inlays and onlays
  • Oral reconstruction to include, but not limited to opposing quadrants restored with fixed prostheses, techniques involving functionally generated path or fully adjustable instruments
  • Complete dentures involving complicated occlusal schemes
  • Complete dentures involving cast metal bases or cast metal occlusals
  • Single unit complete dentures opposing natural dentition (complicated)
  • Dentures on surgically augmented residual ridges
  • Nonsurgical management of temporomandibular disorders 2
  • Minor tooth movement (fixed appliances)
  • Intraoral maxillofacial prostheses and repairs
  • Prostheses on intraoral osseointegrated fixtures
  • Treatment of Sleep Apnea
  • All Prosthodontic Diagnostic Index Class III and IV cases


The extent and complexity of each of the above privileges granted to a Prosthodontist is dependent on the experience and documented training of the particular individual which is established through credentialing and privileging

Work Schedule: 8am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday
